Faculty and Staff Library Resources and Services

This guide gathers resources to assist faculty and staff in using Western's library tools, resources, and services.

Research Guides and Resource Guides (LibGuides)

What are LibGuides?

We like to build out custom guides to scaffold research skills, curate the right databases for a particular assignment, or help introduce students to a wide variety of resources.

We (like much of the academic library world) rely on Springshare's LibGuides platform for hosting our guides. It's customizable, easy to use, and super efficient!

What kinds of guides do you have?

We have (and create) guides for:

  • General research and writing skills
  • How to use the library and its resources
  • Subject areas
  • Programs
  • Courses
  • Specific assignments

Here are some examples of guides we've built:

What if you don't have the guide I need?

We'd be glad to build it! (see below)
