It is possible to have text from Blackboard courses and documents read to you using the Read Speaker tool.
This handy tool automatically appears in your Blackboard course.
To activate the tool, select the small play button on the left side of your screen (it's circled in the screenshot here).
Then position the player where you want it on the page.
From there, just click Listen to hear the material read to you.
You can also expand the player to view additional tools.
