Basics of creating an OER textbooks using LibreTexts

Create Your Book

Create a New Book in LibreTexts

Once signed into your Conductor page click Create Conductor Project.

Next, follow the prompts: Project Title - fill the name of your book and Project Visibility - set to Private. Then click Create Book.

In the top box, choose from the drop down menu, the LibreText Library where your book will be found. Then click Create on the bottom right of the page.

LibreTexts Libraries

The LibreTexts Libraries are the central platforms within the ecosystem and consists of 18 topic-specific repositories that can host your OER textbooks. The Libraries house our suite of custom authoring tools, enabling educators to quickly create and remix digital textbooks and eLearning modules.

You will create your book within the Library that is associated with your subject: Biology, Business, Chemistry, Engineering, Espanol, Geo-Sciences, Global, Medicine, Humanities K-12 Education, Mathematics, Physics, Social Sciences, Ukrayinska, and Workforce.
