FAQs: Academic OneFile (Gale)

  • What's Gale?

Gale is the provider of quite a few of our library databases, including Academic OneFile, Opposing Viewpoints, and a bunch of others that you may recognize. We label our databases with the company name so that you can know what to expect when you get there since most Gale databases look similar and have similar tools even if the collection is different.

  • How do I search by reading level?

Use the Advanced Search and limit by Lexile Measure (higher numbers are more difficult to read, lower numbers indicate an easier reading level). You can also use the filters on the search results screen.
