Video: Trauma-Informed Practices in the Newcomer Classroom

Presented by Joan Barker, an educator who has worked with various refugee communities in the United States and abroad, and Western Tech's Learning Commons Manager, Kirsten Moffler-Daykin, an educator with expertise in trauma-informed education and resilience. The presentation describes the destabilizing impact of war at the societal, family, and individual levels, and provides information and resources to create safe learning environments for newcomers of all ages.
