Resources, information, and tutorials to support the Intro to Human Services APA project.

Step by Step

Through this project, you will acquire research-based information on a psychosocial issue impacting a population and acquire research on evidenced based practices.  You will learn the skills of locating research, reading it, and sharing research.  Research will be collected from peer reviewed journals and on-line databases.

While large, extended assignments can feel daunting, your best bet is to break it down into manageable steps. Tackle one step at a time, keep moving forward, and reach out for help if you need it!

  • Read your case study and choose an issue of focus for your research.
  • Fill in the Title Page on your Worksheet.
  • Step 1 (Research)
    • Find 2 quality sources (2 peer reviewed sources from the Western databases). 
    • Complete Step 1 on Worksheet. This will guide you through creating an APA Reference entry for each source. 
    • Submit your worksheet (Completed title page + STEP #1/APA Reference entries for each of your 2 sources) to grokowskyk@westerntc.edu
