Instructional Strategies

Instructional strategies are "instructional materials and procedures that enable students to achieve the learning outcomes." (Linda Jordan, "Instructional Strategies" in McDonald, J. K. & West, R. E. (2021). Design for Learning (1st ed.). EdTech Books. https://edtechbooks.org/id, CC BY NC).

These strategies include methods and techniques that instructors can implement to support student learning in their classroom. Use the tabs on the left side of the page to navigate to pages on various instructional strategies covered or mentioned in Western's FQAS course. These pages include some curated readings and research on the strategy, as well as links to recommended databases for further research on your own.
