Finding the NAICS Code for Your Business

NAICS Codes - Census.gov
The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) is the standard used by Federal statistical agencies in classifying business establishments for the purpose of collecting, analyzing, and publishing statistical data related to the U.S. business economy.
NAICS was developed under the auspices of the Office of Management and Budget (OMB), and adopted in 1997 to replace the Standard Industrial Classification (SIC) system.

Example: At Minnesota's (www.mn.gov) main search page, the search term, "start a small business" led me to "5 Steps to Start Your Business in Minnesota." Look for other articles in the results list for "start a small business" to find information on health insurance, financing, etc. Also be sure to follow links on the main article page for starting a business.
