Create an On-line Account in Openstax https://openstax.org/ (Save Login credentials > Username/and password)
Go to Openstax and Login. Locate the “Subjects” tab at the top of the page and locate the “College Success” orange textbook
View the book on-line exploring the Table of Contents. Note the text’s features and how it is organized/structured.
Next, locate the Search bar at the top of the page and type in the word “annotation”. Read while scrolling down to see the examples of annotated notes/texts. Read for more information.
Next, practice using the on-line highlighting tool. Read and use the cursor to highlight an important concept. Pastel colored dots will appear in a box for you to choose from as a highlighter. Explore the tool. Any notes will be saved to print off later. Note: Some on-line texts have study guides.
