Nursing: TEAS Prep Guide

This guide collects resources about the TEAS as well as study and review materials. Please note: This guide reflects the version 7 of the TEAS test (released on June 3, 2022).

Access Free TEAS Practice Tests in PrepSTEP

Western students can access to a database called Learning Express Library (linked below) that has TEAS study materials and practice tests available for free. There are two exams available for each of the test sections (Reading, Math, Science, English & Language Usage). These can be taken multiple times, if you want.

How to get started with PrepSTEP

  1. Notice the button at the top of the screen that asks you to Sign in/Register to begin. You will need to create a simple username and password to access the tests. This allows you to save the tests and return to them later.

  2. Once you have created an account and are logged in, search for "TEAS" to find the practice tests and study materials (see screenshot below).

Other Places to Find Practice Exams

  • Western's Learning Commons/Library has a limited number of study manuals available for students to borrow. These study manuals include review questions and practice exams. Stop by the Learning Commons or check the library catalog to see what is available in our collection.
  • Your local public library may also have TEAS manuals available for you to borrow.
  • You may find it helpful to purchase your own TEAS study manual and/or practice exams. We like the official study manual (available for $25) and other prep resources provided by ATI (the maker and provider of the TEAS).
