Graphic Design: Advertising Research Assignment (Ken Hey)

• An initial search using just "advertising"and "children" returned articles that didn't look useful , so I added a third term, "impact."

• Gale filters for Source Types appear at the top of the page. Again the Number in parenthesis (180) is the number of articles for the source type.
• Gale filters for Publication Date, Subjects, etc appear on the right side of the page

My favorite feature in the Gale databases is the TOPIC FINDER, a visual option to browse the results of your search. Ideal fpeople who process information best when it is presented visually.  Notice the relationship of your search terms to related concepts. Click on a cell to see the articles that match the concept.

• In Gale Databases the Full Text article appears immediately after you click on the title in the results list. No PDF links.
• The Cite, Send to (email), Download, Print, and Page Link tools appear on the upper right of the page.
  • Email, download, and print icons also appear above the article.
• Gale databases also offer the option to set font size and listen to the articles.
• Explore related articles from the box on the right.
