The Office of Early Learning was created in January, 2012. The mission of the Office of Early Learning is to ensure that all children enter school ready to succeed. Our primary focus is on the best interests of Wisconsin’s children, whose early years are crucial to their success.
We work to promote high-quality early learning for all young children, birth-age 8, by connecting early childhood practice, policy, and research. We advance a diverse, dynamic early childhood profession and support all who care for, educate, and work on behalf of young children.
A nonprofit organization committed to the belief that every child, regardless of circumstances at birth, has the ability to succeed in life. NHSA's vision is to lead—to be the untiring voice that will not be quiet until every vulnerable child is served with the Head Start model of support for the whole child, the family and the community—and to advocate—to work diligently for policy and institutional changes that ensure all vulnerable children and families have what they need to succeed.
The Minnesota Department of Education supports a number of initiatives to help children receive the best start. Our vision is that all Minnesota children are prepared for kindergarten, third grade reading and lifelong learning.
Our 3 million members bring their experiences working at every level of education to shape our organization and impact. Here’s who we are and how we do it. We are as diverse as the students we represent, but united in our purpose: championing justice and excellence in public education.
